Ever wonder what you can do with those “No Postage Necessary” envelopes you get in junk mail? How about taping them to a box full of bricks and throwing it in a mailbox? The junk mail company gets charged per ounce to have the package shipped back, and the proceeds all go to the United States Postal Service.
There’s a similar trick to deterring junk emailers. Just place a link (like the one in the previous sentence) to http://officeofstrategicinfluence.com/spam/. When data mining programs navigate to your blog, they will follow the link and begin harvesting the (thousands) of useless emails from the page, eventually consuming all the available resources of the spam program and shutting itself down, hopefully cutting down on the number of spam programs there are in the world.
Viva la revolucion…..
